=== Note ===
Entrance Tickets + Move Randomization will not work as there will be too many items and not enough locations. You can only choose one or the other

== Hack-specific Options ==

=== v1.3 ===
Logic is adjusted for the hack in version 1.3 and below

=== OverworldSign ===
The overworld sign in this hack disappears if you have >20 stars. It's at the start of the game and can be gotten with only any rollout/jump in move rando, so it seems very unlikely that you would not get access to the sign before you get 20 stars. However permanently missable locations are a bit unorthodox in AP so its an option that you have to enable.

== Tricks ==

=== Reasonable ===

==== Course 1 Star 1 Hill with Kick ====
Needs:
|Kick|

Instead of going over the gap before the piranha plant, kick up the slope

=== Obscure ===

==== Course 1 Path Stargrab with nothing ====
Needs: Nothing

Walk up the slope on the right of the star, and bellyslide rollout into the star.

==== Course 1 King Bob-omb stargrab with Backflip ====
Needs:
|Backflip| and (|Kick| or |Dive|)

You cant get up the hill with backflip, however you can kick up the hill or use the momentum from a dive.

==== Course 1 Koopa the Quick with Kick ====
Needs:|Kick|

Use the kick to kick all the way up the hill. Timing may be a bit tight

==== Course 1 Scaffolding Skip ====
Needs:
|Jump| and |Kick|

Jump kick up the slope next to the scaffolding until you are high enough that you can jump and reach the star/red coin

==== Course 3 Cannon Entry with Backflip ====
Needs:
|Backflip|

Stand on the little side railing, and with the right alignment, you can backflip onto the cannon platform

==== Course 3 Cannon Entry with Long Jump ====
Needs:
|Long Jump| and |Wallkick|

Long jump off the little side railing with a good angle, and wallkick off the wall and ledgegrab the side.

=== Hard ===

==== Course 2 Shelves with Backflip/Sideflip ====
Needs:
|Sideflip| or |Backflip|

You need to use the Backflip/Sideflip on the very edge of the lower shelf and then as you jump hold towards the edge so mario moves far enough while he's in midair to hit the wall instead of the ceiling

==== Course 3 Sign ====
Needs:
|Triple Jump| and |Wallkick|

You need to triple jump off of King Whomp on act 1, while he is getting up from stomping down, towards where the elevators are on the other acts, and wallkick off the top wall and land on the castle. There go to where star 3 normally is, and there is a hidden sign. You can also grab the star there, which is actually star 7 instead of star 3 as a little 'reward'

==== Course 4 Star 1 with Sideflip ====
Needs:
|Sideflip| and |Wallkick|

This is hardest on the last jump, you need to firsty the wall adjacent to the platform you are standing on at a near 45 degree angle, and you might get far enough to reach the platform you want to land on. Then you wallkick that platform and then wallkick the wall that leads to and you'll land on it.

==== Bowser 1 Reds without Triple Jump ====
Needs:
((|Double Jump| or |Sideflip|) and |Ground Pound|) or (|Double Jump| and |Kick| and |Dive|)

To get up the spinning platforms: It's possible with kick or ground pound and double jump or sideflip, however its quite difficult. Just keep trying to ground pound/kick into the second platform and eventually you'll make it. The red above the big slope requires either ground pounding with double jump/sideflip, or a speedkick double jump kick.

== Glitches ==

=== Framewalks ===

===== Reasonable =====

===== Course 1 Path Framewalk =====
Needs: Nothing

Before the path, framewalk up the side of the slope

===== Course 1 King-Bob-Omb framewalk =====
Needs: Nothing

Framewalk up the side of King Bob-Omb's arena

==== Hard ====

==== Course 1 Path Framewalk with Koopa Race ====
Needs:
|Dive|

The framewalk is the same as the c1 path framewalk, doing it in the time of the koopa race however is difficult.
Blue star mode activates when you get 150 total stars (either blue or yellow), or at 0 stars with the hack-specific option "StartWithBlueStars". Once it is active, you always have the ability to switch it off whenever you want in the pause menu (you dont have to wait till 333 stars to do this), so that you can get some normal stars, if they are unobtainable/harder in blue star mode (for example, c1s6 requires wing cap but the wing cap boxes aren't accessible in blue star mode).

Blue stars and yellow stars are seperate for star doors. Most blue star doors (staff only doors) activate at 1 blue star however.

Since there are 3 endings, the default ending is ending 3 (the one after all 333 stars), unless blue stars are disabled, in which case ending 2 is the default ending.
Disables checks from blue stars and removes all the blue stars from the pool (as well as the 7 postgame yellow stars as those require blue stars to reach)

==== StartWithBlueStars ====
Start with the ability to obtain blue stars, rather than having to wait until getting 150 total

==== Ending1 ====
Puts ending 1 in logic (the main ending after B3)

==== Ending2 ====
Puts ending 2 in logic (the ending after Farewell)

==== GraySwitchWarps ====
The gray switch levels (silence/death winds) have warps to the different overworlds, skipping the key necessary to enter. By default this isn't in logic, however if you enable this setting it is in logic.

As well, if you have 1 blue star, you get access to the quick warp to all of the different parts of silence/death winds (rather than having to find all 6 boxes throughout the game), using that quick warp is not in logic if this setting is disabled.

== Settings ==

=== Difficulty ===

==== Strict ====

Movement and star paths should feel somewhat natural in most places. If a forward jump is expected, you will have Jump or Longjump available.

==== Reasonable ====

Movement and shortcuts should be sightreadable. Sideflip counts as a forward jump, and Dive Rollouts might be expected for clearing flat gaps.

==== Obscure ====

Movement might feel unclear without savestate practice, but should be consistent if you know how to do it. The path to each star could be anywhere. Some stars might expect backflip wallkicks instead of forward jumps, and some coin stars might require breakdances or water jumps to defeat enemies.

==== Hard ====

Movement might reach light kaizo difficulty, and savestate practice or a video example might be highly recommended for some skips.

==== Forgo self-defense ====

For some stars, the logic expects additional moves that will help you defend yourself against Flyguys, Lakitus, or other enemies. You can disable this feature here or by setting the main difficulty to Hard.

=== Hack-specific options ===

==== BCBCAC ====

The answer to the Thwomp quiz, letting you skip the first half of Tower of Tempora. Disable if you want to climb the tower in full.

==== v1.0.1 ====

Only relevant if you want to play with rollouts - you can Reasonably enter OW2 on v1.0.1 using unreferenced walls, but I heard that later versions require Hard double turnaround dives.

=== Glitches ===

==== NBG ====

Noteblock glitches. Most involve a frame-perfect dive, although the NBG to the tower in C5 can be retriably done using a boo bounce.

==== Framewalk ====

There's a relatively easy framewalk at the start of C6, and some strats for C6s3 involve framewalks as well. Climbing the big slope with nothing but a framewalk is additionally considered Hard.

== Locations ==

==== C14 sign ====

There is a slightly non-obvious sign beyond the lake surrounding the level. You can Reasonably just swim to this sign without needing any moves.

==== S2 sign ====

Above the clouds, the tower behind the pipe has an Obscure sign. Use a TJWK, an NBG, or a Hard longjump from the highest brick to reach it.

==== B1 sign ====

In Tower of Tempora, the beam with the last pole has an Obscure sign. An arch wallkick from the pole easily reaches it, but a Hard arch polejump also gets the job done.

== Routes ==

=== Reasonable ===

==== C1 island ====

You can skip the cannon by swimming to the left edge of the island's slope, then using a steepjump dive, jumpkicks, or an Obscure sideflip to get up.

==== C2s3 star grab ====

To grab the star with jumpkicks, climb the slope then use the momentum to jump into the star.

==== C3 lone house ====

Instead of jumping from the pillar next to the warp, you can reach the star path directly from the ground with a good enough jump, longjump, or sideflip dive.

==== C3 hidden pipe ====

You can use water jumps to reach the pipe without a shell. The switch can be reached with a TJWK from the ground next to the pipe.

==== C5 cliff/town area ====

- Reasonable: Doublejump onto the first arch of the star 1 path, then longjump to the grey slope.

- Obscure: Use the pipe past the star 1 path to go all the way to the town area, then backtrack to the cliff area from there.

==== C5 tower (NBG) ====

Climb to the town, then use a boo bounce NBG from the highest noteblock to launch to the top few platforms of the tower. Video example: https://youtu.be/fGcsgy6Asng?t=670 (dive is not required)

==== C6 pipe ====

- Strict: Start from the pipe near star 2.

- Obscure: From the cliff area, you can enter the star 7 pipe and go left, disobeying the sign.

==== C7 star 3 path ====

Two lavabounces from spawn.

=== Obscure ===

==== C4 metal cap skip ====

From the 2d pipe exit (only requires entering the bottom middle pipe), you can reach the star platform with a variety of slopejump combos. Video example: https://youtu.be/fGcsgy6Asng?t=749

==== C6 cliff area ====

There's a pretty easy longjump to the star 5 path, just need to dpad right for a bit and longjump from the sloped part of the sand pipe at full running speed. Video example: https://youtu.be/fGcsgy6Asng?t=536

==== C7 plateau ====

You can go from the pipe behind spawn to the pipe near the blue coin switch, then climb from there.

==== C8 noteblock star ====

After the noteblock, two 45° wallkicks can make it up to the last set of boxes in time.

==== C8 panels ====

You can grab the metal cap by lavaboosting onto the box, crawling off, and groundpounding. Mind the cap timer.

==== C10 reds/80c ====

Climb the house, then jump or dive rollout from the big flower.

==== C11 star 7 ====

Wallkick up to the hot platforms, then use 2 bounces to get to the star. Video example: https://youtu.be/SPKdjsJ2sNo?t=942

==== C12 shell skip ====

- Obscure: Longjump from star 1 directly to the star platform. Video example: https://youtu.be/fGcsgy6Asng?t=1178

- Hard: Angle setup and run onto the pyramid, then slidefall to the star platform. Video example: https://discord.com/channels/1345801058609270794/1346146151086428200/1467161782941519993

==== C13 sewer reds ====

Video reference with only wallkicks: https://youtu.be/rNy_wyVy4kQ

=== Hard ===

==== C8 boxes to the cannon area ====

First, clear the bully. Then do 5 backflips, 2 lavabounces, and finally either dive through the heart or make it to the house in 2+1 bounces.

==== C9 numbers ====

You can twirl from the 4 to the 6. The only problem is that twirling on this flyguy can be pretty hard.
Just long jump wallkick from the grass plateau to the control tower

=== Obscure ===

==== Kochiya Falls Cloud Cruise Fly-by without Wing Cap ====
Needs:
Nothing

You can jump off the side of the bridge and kick into the alcove instead of using the wing cap

== Tricks ==

=== Reasonable ===

==== Course 1 In the Side of the Mountain without wallkick ====
Needs:
|Long Jump| or |Jump|

You can fall off the side of the mountain to skip the short wallkick section. You need Jump or Long Jump to get across the gap

'''Course 1 Smash the Chain Chomps Rocks without Ground Pounds'''

Needs:
Any jump or |Dive|

The rocks have bad collision and you can easily clip through just by walking around them a bit

==== Course 2 Past Opening Platforms With Long Jump ====
Needs:
|Long Jump|

You can't long jump up the platforms but you can go down the other path and long jump down to the platform path pretty easily

=== Obscure ===

==== Common: Wallkicking from a backflip ====
Needs:
|Backflip| and |Wallkick|

Occurs often in various places, so it would be excessive to list all the occurances of this in this document, considering they are also usually where you wallkick with other moves normally.

==== Enter Mushroom Mountain Town Without Jumps ====
Needs:
Nothing

Jump from the water to the tree, and jump from the tree into Mushroom Mountain Town. You can jump off of both without the actual Jump item.

==== Overworld 1 Toad with Kicks, Punches, and Jump ====
Needs:
|Kick| and |Punch| and |Jump|

Kick up the slope next to Mushroom Mountain Town, and when you get near the top of the slope, jump. This requires the jump as otherwise you get stuck on some collision.

==== Course 2 The Flying Stepping Stones without Metal Cap ====
Needs:
|Wallkick| and |Long Jump|)

Go to the top of the windmill and long jump to the platform with the star

==== Course 2 Behind the Underwater Gate without Vanish Cap ====
Needs:
Any jump

You can underwater punch clip through the gate

==== Course 2 Purple Switch without Wallkick ====
Needs:
|Jump| or |Long Jump| or |Sideflip|

You can lure the fly guy over and jump off of him

==== Course 3 The Flooded Cave without Long Jump ====
Needs:
Any jump

You can water jump and land on the ledge if you are precise enough. This also skips pushing the block.

==== Course 3 Metal Cap Star without Metal Cap ====
Needs:
Jump

Jump on the tree between the ruins and the lake. Use it to jump onto the slippery slope and do a slope jump towards the star.

=== Hard ===

==== Enter Course 2 Without Jumps ====
Needs:
(|Slidekick| or |Dive|) and |Wallkick|

Rollout onto the box next to the jar, and fall off the box, wallkick the wall, and enter the jar. Seems easy but it's a bit precise.

==== Get Overworld 1 Toad with Jump ====
Needs:
|Jump|

Framewalk up the slope next to Mushroom Mountain Town, and when you get near the top of the slope, jump. This requires the jump as otherwise you get stuck on some collision.

==== Get Replica Star in Mushroom Mountain Town with no moves ====
Unlikely to matter since the replica star requires 121 stars, but you can framewalk up the slope the koopa normally takes up to skip jumping. Not possible with the koopa race since you're way too slow

==== Get Koopa Race star in Mushroom Mountain Town with Dives ====
Same as above but you need the dive to beat the koopa race in a fast enough time

==== Course 3 Tower Stars without Cannon/Owl ====
Needs:
|Triple Jump| and |Wallkick|

Triple jump from the hedge on the slope next to the tower, and jump over. Then use wallkick to get up the tower, and for the owl star do an arch wallkick.

==== Course 4 Swim into the Flooded Cage without hanging ====
Needs:
((|Wallkick| or |Shell|) and |Any Jump|)

You can get on top of the hangable ceiling, then wallkick between the hangable ceiling and the left wall.

You can also use the shell mario glitch to get inside the cage and use the shell to get to the star, but the star is in a box that is too high to rollout onto so you need a jump as well.

==== Course 4 Underwater Maze on earlier acts ====
You can underwater punch between the box and the right wall and if you do it right you'll downwarp to right before the star

== Glitches ==

=== Bomb Clips ===

==== Course 1 Deep Dive In the Cage with Bob-omb ====
Needs:
Nothing

You don't need to grab the bob-omb, you can just let it push you into the cage if its chasing you and you're in the right position

== Major Skips ==

=== Bowser 1 without 20 stars ===
Needs:
(|Jump| or |Long Jump|) and |!v1.0|

Jump into the corner of the door and you can clip in. Clip was patched after v1.0.

== Tricks ==

=== Reasonable ===

=== Obscure ===

==== Common: Wallkicking from a backflip ====

=== Hard ===

==== Enter Course 2 Without Jumps ====

==== Course 3 Tower Stars without Cannon/Owl ====

==== Enter Mushroom Mountain Town Without Jumps ====
Needs: Nothing

Jump from the water to the tree, and jump from the tree into Mushroom Mountain Town. You can jump off of both without the actual Jump item.

==== Get Overworld 1 Toad with Backflip and Wallkick ====
Backflip wallkick on the wall next to the door, and backflip onto the roof.

==== Get Overworld 1 Toad with Kicks, Punches, and Jump ====
Kick up the slope next to Mushroom Mountain Town, and when you get near the top of the slope, jump. This requires the jump as otherwise you get stuck on some collision.

=== Hard ===

==== Enter Course 2 Without Jumps ====
Needs:
(|Slidekick| or |Dive|) and |Wallkick|

Rollout onto the box next to the jar, and fall off the box, wallkick the wall, and enter the jar. Seems easy but it's a bit precise.

==== Get Overworld 1 Toad with Jump ====
Framewalk up the slope next to Mushroom Mountain Town, and when you get near the top of the slope, jump. This requires the jump as otherwise you get stuck on some collision.
